Dr. Kathy Amos, Founder/CEO
Kathy is a multifaceted professional with various leadership roles, including CEO of Business Empowered International Chamber of Commerce and The Best of Mississippi Awards, LLC, and President of Business Empowered Mississippi. In addition, she co-founded Turning Point Fellowship Ministries International and Turning Point Fellowship Apostolic Network. As a published author, independent certified coach, speaker, and trainer with the John Maxwell Team, Kathy leverages her 15+ years of coaching and pastoral experience to add value to both spiritual and business communities. She is known throughout Mississippi for honoring and recognizing over 2,500 business and community leaders in the past seven years. She has been recognized from city, state, and governmental entities for her celebration of others.
Kathy is married to Dr. Joe R. Amos, the founder of Turning Point Fellowship Ministries International, and together, they share the parenting of 15 children and 38 grandchildren. They are enthusiastic supporters of the Canton community and host the annual "Blessing Canton Week," a citywide transformational revival that brings together churches of all denominations and community leaders to bring souls to Christ. They have also made significant contributions to the City of Canton by donating more than $2000.00 to the city's budget to help needy families and providing hundreds of dollars and school uniforms to underprivileged students in the Canton Public School District. Mel & Mona Ponder
Mel and Mona Ponder are the originators who started Business Empowered Florida with a vision for impacting business leaders and individuals to exemplify and advance the Kingdom of God in their workplace and community through Godly principles.
They each have over 20 years experience in owning, managing and operating businesses, and have a keen understanding of the unique challenges and lifestyle demands business people face. They have worked with Fortune 500 companies, achieving national recognition for results. In addition, Mel has 8 years experience in government, which furthers his understanding of today’s business challenges. Most importantly, Mel and Mona each possess over 12 years of ministry leadership. This combination of experience in both ministry and the marketplace makes Mel and Mona Ponder uniquely qualified to provide vision, leadership, and expertise to help Business Empowered Members improve their results and impact their communities.
Mel and Mona are actively involved in church and community, and have served on the Board of Directors for multiple Ministries. They have been married for 27 years and are raising 3 children in Northwest Florida.
Drs. Joe & Kathy Amos
Drs. Joseph and Kathy are a faith-driven power couple with over 67 years of expertise in community development, ministry, and business. With Dr. Joe's 44 years of ministry experience, they have trained, equipped, and commissioned many leaders to fulfill their God-ordained office and ministry gifts. They travel across the US spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, coaching, training, and equipping marketplace leaders through their initiatives, including City Calling, Kathy Amos Coaching & Consulting, LLC, and Business Empowered International Chamber of Commerce. Their shared passion is to empower others to fulfill their God-given purpose and make disciples of men.
